With effect from 14 November 2022 the data protection legislation will be the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) (“GDPR”) together with such secondary legislation that may come into force from time to time. For the purposes of GDPR Founders Makers is the data controller in respect of your personal data.
Various forms on our website invite you to submit your contact details and other information about you or your organisation, or to send us emails (which will of course identify you). In each case the purpose for which you are submitting your details will be made clear.
From time to time we may use third parties to process or administer the data on our behalf, for example to send out invitations to events but such third parties are not allowed to use the data for their own purposes. We do monitor visits to our website so that we can improve our service and make the site easier to navigate but the information we use to do so does not identify you as an individual. We may also share personal information with a variety of third parties where necessary including our bankers, our insurers, HMRC, third party(s) who are engaged during the provision of our services to you such as designers, photographers, web designers, our professional advisors such as accountants and third party service providers such as software providers, courier services and IT support.
We may also, while providing services to you need to transfer your personal information outside the jurisdiction in which it was provided. We will inform you in writing if this is necessary.
